Paper Moon
A poetic journey to the stars
In a blend of live drawing, music, and acting, four artists take the audience on an extraordinary journey into space.
Robert Nippoldt sits at a table — a kind of creative console — whose surface is filmed by a camera and projected live onto a large screen behind him. With various drawing techniques, materials, paper elements, hand puppets, and text panels, he creates scenarios, live animations, and visual journeys. Thanks to the large projection, the audience experiences every carefully executed motion and stroke up close.
All this is brought to life, commented on, and inspired by the three marvelous musicians of the Urknall Orchestra, who perform well-known space melodies in fresh, witty arrangements.
An entertaining evening that celebrates both the historic milestones of space exploration and the artistic visions of the cosmos — while rekindling humanity’s longing for the stars.
A retro-futuristic astro-delight not only for space enthusiasts!
