The Just Jazz Trio is composed of Eva Lotta Stein (vocals), Christian Manchen (piano) and Christoph Kopp (double bass). The three young musicians have been active in the Münster jazz scene for many years and play regularly at jazz sessions and in various
formations. The main focus of their repertoire is the interpretation of pieces from the 1920s and 1930s.

In the twenties, New York experienced a revolution: Jazz came to the city! This music created a new attitude towards life that was soon to spread all over the world. Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Sidney Bechet, Bessie Smith - they all played on the stages of New York's jazz clubs and dance halls in the 1920s.

Together with the Just Jazz Trio, Robert Nippoldt developed the concert reading "Jazz in New York in the Roaring Twenties" and, thanks to the interpretation of Eva Lotta Stein (vocals), Christian Manchen (piano) and Christoph Kopp (double bass), brings back to life the lively scenes and contemplative moments with the greats of jazz. After a brief introduction, Robert Nippoldt will read passages from his award-winning book: from the history of jazz, to portraits of New York jazz musicians, legendary band battles and nightclubs, to anecdotes from the first sound recordings. Dressed in the style of the 1920s, the reader and musicians take turns again and again, bringing back the atmosphere of the old club basements.
